TORRE DE SONIDO, A SENSORY EXPERIENCE INSIDE GONZALO FONSECA'S MONUMENTAL SCULPTURE

Torre de Sonido was a sound performance and art installation at the iconic tower La Torre de los Vientos by Gonzalo Fonseca. Integrating an immersive sound performance into the site, Torre de Sonido is a communal experience that reanimates an inert structure and pays homage to México’s cultural heritage. This multifaceted project—that spans architecture, sculpture, installation and sound art—represents the reclamation of the cultural islands remaining in a city fragmented by relentless urbanization.
